Headache Treatment in Florham Park, NJ

Are You a Candidate For Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression?

Headaches come in all different sizes and severities, from a dull ache in your temples to a debilitating pain that makes it difficult to see.

The fact is that all headaches are not created equal. They can vary by severity, symptoms and cause. The most common types of headaches include tension, cluster, migraine, organic, rebound, and chronic daily headaches, among others.

If you suffer from any of these types of headaches, you are not alone. Millions of people experience the pain of headaches regularly.

Tension Headaches

One of the most common types of headaches are those caused by tension. These are related to stress, anxiety and even depression. About 90% of all headaches are classified as tension-related.

With a tension headache, the pain is generalized throughout the head, rather than in the temples, the sinuses or another individual spot. Women tend to get tension headaches more frequently than men, although they can strike anybody at any time.

Cluster Headaches

About 1 million people in the US suffer from cluster headaches. These are sharp, extremely painful headaches that tend to occur several times in a single day for a period of weeks of months. They can then go away for a similar period of time, only to return again later.

Migraines

Migraine headaches fall into a category of their own. That’s because they are believed to be a biological disease that affects nearly 30 million people in the US every year. One out of every four people in the US suffers from migraines, more than diabetes, coronary heart disease and asthma combined.

Common Causes of Headaches

One of the most common causes of headaches is some sort of imbalance within the body. This can be caused by stress, anxiety, trauma or one of many other reasons.

An imbalance in one part of the body is certain to effect the body’s entire unified system. For example, if you are carrying stress in the muscles in your upper back or shoulders, this can easily lead to headaches and pain in other parts of your body as well.

Headache Treatment Options

Most people treat headache pain like they would any other ache or pain: With aspirin or other pain-killing over-the-counter medication. But, in reality, this does nothing to cure your headache. It only temporarily masks the symptoms so that you can return to your normal activities without discomfort.

Eventually, however, whatever was causing your headaches in the first place will return … and so will the pain of your headaches.

But now there’s an all-natural, organic headache treatment that can attack the root causes of your headaches so that you can permanently be rid of them … spinal decompression.

Benefits of Gentle, Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Treatment

Our spinal disc doctors specialize in returning natural balance to the body by making a series of small decompressions to the affected area. The back and related spinal discs are the frame upon which the rest of the body hangs, so when it is returned into balance naturally and gently, it can relieve headaches and other pains quickly and permanently.

If you are experiencing headaches or other pain, make an appointment with our medical professionals so you can get a free consultation.

It’s risk free and you have nothing to lose … except your headache pain!

After searching for answers, for the past ten months, through a host of doctors, imaging and medical facilities, Total Health Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Center was what I was looking for! I remember calling their office five minutes before closing in a state of desperation. Despite their day ending, they took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and answer all of my questions beyond the end of their work day. As I hung up the phone, I finally had an appointment and some hope. Dr. Tyminski sat with my husband and I and, in detail, reviewed the results of my cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine MRI's. He took the time to explain my situation and gave me a plan of action. Finally, after months and months of searching I felt that I had someone who understood my condition and had a plan to help address it. After three weeks in, I have nothing but praise for the entire team at Total Health Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center. Their professional, supportive, and compassionate care is outstanding!

When I first came here two months ago I was in so much pain and was feeling very discouraged. Everyone has been so helpful and so kind and this has made a huge difference for me. I am experiencing no pain and I have not taken an Advil in over a month. Dr. Locatelli and Dr. Sheppard have been so helpful and kind and caring. Janet, Beth and Jan in Physical Therapy have been tremendously helpful and they are making a big difference in my treatment. Also, every time I walk in, there is Kalayha, greeting me warmly and making me feel welcomed and always helpful setting up my appointments and just being awesome. I highly recommend Total Health Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

The staff and doctors are kind and cheerful and helpful in the face of my handicaps; I'm grateful for their service, and I recommend them heartily.

Everyone at the center is so nice and friendly. Very helpful and the decompression therapy that I did helped with my herniated disc. Now doing acupuncture and that seems to be helping with some other health issues that I have. Plus it's so relaxing.
